Actress Lindsay Lohan is using her website to boost charity fundraising for the people of Haiti. The movie star, perhaps best known for her appearance in Mean Girls, plans to donate the profits from the online sale of one of her leggings ranges to Save the Children.
Her website, 6126 Collection, will give all the proceeds from the sale of the Fame metallic leggings to the charity. The range was recently reduced from $90 to $65 (£40) for the charity fundraising initiative.Speaking on her website, Lohan stated: 'It is truly horrible what has happened to the people and children in Haiti.
'I believe every company should do their part to help by donating what they can.' 6126 Collection donates a portion of all of its sales to selected charities, including the Ovarian Cancer Research Institute.
Another charity fundraising story that has caught the attention of many this week is that of seven-year-old Charlie Simpson, who has so far raised almost £140,000 for Unicef on a sponsored bike ride.
The cycling enthusiast did laps of Fulham's South Park on Sunday (January 24th) and is still bringing in donations via his JustGiving online appeal webpage.
